It was announced today by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office that during Spring Break (March 12 to March 21) there will be deputies specifically assigned to targeting drunk drivers. Funding through a grant has made possible overtime for deputies to focus on this operation.

MONTGOMERY POLICE CHIEF RESIGNS

Longtime Montgomery Police Chief Kenneth Hudgens has resigned effective March 23, 2010. According to Hudgens he resigned because of differences in management philosophy.
In 2003 Hudgens was a Sergent under then Chief Chapman Baber who retired after 10 years. Hudgens was then promoted to Chief.
Hudgens is also a longtime respected Houston Firefighter.
